Overview

Tata Steel's ABP FY23 Meet event focuses on future readiness, a culture of customer centricity, and excellence, aiming to script the 'Tomorrow'. With a blend of engaging sessions on future shaping plans from senior leadership and enjoyable activities, the day promises to be captivating, followed by an eventful evening.

Brief

The brief was quite clear: the client sought a web-based app for their one-day 'ABP FY23 meet' event, featuring functionalities such as providing participants with details about their hotel, room numbers, pre-lunch and post-lunch table assignments, etc., through the app. The most challenging aspect of this project was the tight timeline; only 15 days remained until the event.

Solution

We assembled the team for the ABP FY23 Meet, crafting a mobile web app with simplicity and intuitive navigation. Built on Laravel and Vue.js, the ABP FY23 Meet event app offers flexibility and was utilized by over 500 event participants. We provided full backend and frontend support until the conclusion of the event.

Technical build

We developed the mobile web app using Laravel—an enterprise-scale PHP framework—and Vue.js—a progressive JavaScript framework. Here are some of the key development features:

Event participant registration via email from the backend.
Interactive user engagement modules such as quizzes and polls.
Personalized user data including room numbers, hotel details, pre-lunch table numbers, and post-lunch table numbers.
Integration of web push notifications using OneSignal to send messages to all app users or selected user groups.

Date, timings, and venue details.
Comprehensive conference schedule and speaker information.
Additional features:
- Weather updates
- Dress codes
- Hotel facilities for leisure
- Safety corner, gala night, gallery, and emergency contacts
- My profile and requests
- Web push notifications, and more.
